The massive changes brought on by the use of digital imaging has massive implications for the ethics of images use in healthcare. The fact that an image of a patient taken with a mobile phone or digital camera can be transmitted anywhere instantly will be both of great benefit to patients and at the same time an absolute nightmare to control and police.
