Homeostasis (Temperature control)
Man is like many other animals,
a homeotherm, capable of keeping a body
temperature that is independent of the surroundings.
This is under normal circumstances but extreme conditions
of the environment, overexertion by the sportsman or the poor design of
venues can effect the body's ability to maintain itself.
The control systems we need to consider are:
Thermoregulation
Controlling your body temperature
and
Fluid Balance
Controlling fluid loss and gain
