Manufacturing

The standard last is fashioned to conform to the particular segment of the market for which it intended.

Manufacturing of the wooden and plastic lasts are:

  1. Rough shape of last is cut out of maple ( by a saw)
  2. Rough shape is attach to a last roughing milling machine. Measurements are inserted to a computer. The shape of last is formed by the milling machine. Lefts and rights are formed .
  3. They are graded for mass production
  4. All small pieces needed for the last is then attached using various techniques.
  5. A wooden last is polished and trimmed for the needed purpose.
