Coloration
Sometimes coloration is considered to be a finishing process. Some man-made
fibres are coloured during production, particularly those that are difficult
to dye by conventional means. Dyeing or general coloration may be carried
out any stage of processing. Whether the textile is dyed as fibre, yarn,
fabric or garment depends upon a number of factors but generally it is
more economical to leave dyeing to the later stages of processing; however
the later the stage the more critical the result since there are fewer
        opportunities to correct faults.
